SEABER is an innovative company that designs and manufactures highly reliable micro-AUVs, for research and commercial oceanographic applications.
After years of experience and with a shared obsession for robotics and marine technologies, we decided to use our expertise and knowledge to develop the YUCO, the first micro-AUV that meets the specific needs of oceanographic researchers.
We believe that the future of ocean exploration belongs to fleets of numerous small, agile, and affordable AUVs.
Reinventing the micro-AUV
Reflecting SEABER’s co-founders, YUCO gathers boldness, innovation, reliability and efficiency.
The name YUCO finds its roots in the Patagonian Selk’nam tribe whose people had reputation to be stiff and resilient to extreme environments. YUCO also means “sharp”, which reflects the excellence and originality of the team and appears on the shape of the nose.
We’ve united all our know-how to make YUCO an uniquely reliable tool combining exceptional performances and low maintenance, which is operable in all types of coastal waters. With YUCO, rediscover our oceans.
The Yuco is about 1 meter long, weighs 10kg in air and runs up to 10 hours autonomy on rechargeable batteries with 300 meters depth capability.Some selected sensors will be proposed “off-the-shelf”. The YUCO-range will evolve with more sensors but will be limited in order to keep high functionality and maintainability performances. Additionally, YUCO micro-AUV may be proposed in a “carrier” version for users willing to integrate their specific wet-payload.
