Atlas® is Hemisphere GNSS’s global L-band correction service for precise and reliable positioning. With scalable accuracy levels ranging from metre to sub-decimetre performance, Atlas supports a wide variety of professional applications worldwide.
Corrections are generated using data from more than 200 reference stations and transmitted directly via L-band satellites. The service supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo, providing extensive global coverage without requiring a local base station or cellular connection.
Atlas is available on Hemisphere’s Atlas-capable single-frequency and multi-frequency GNSS receivers. Third-party receivers can also access Atlas corrections using Hemisphere BaseLink® and SmartLink™ technology.
Multi-frequency receivers benefit from corrections for a greater number of satellites. This supports faster convergence and improves positioning reliability in demanding environments, including locations with tree canopy or dense vegetation.
Both single-frequency and multi-frequency systems can provide immediate global sub-metre positioning. Atlas uses correction data from multiple satellite constellations, offering a robust alternative to conventional SBAS services.
Atlas-compatible systems use Hemisphere’s Athena™ GNSS engine. This advanced platform is designed to deliver accurate, flexible and dependable positioning while supporting future developments in GNSS technology.
Atlas Basic provides SBAS-equivalent performance in supported regions worldwide. It is available for compatible single-frequency and multi-frequency products and offers immediate sub-metre positioning.
Under suitable conditions, Atlas Basic achieves an accuracy of 30 to 50 centimetres at a 95% confidence level. Actual performance depends on factors such as multipath, satellite visibility, satellite geometry and ionospheric activity.
| Service level | Positioning accuracy |
