High-quality cables, connectors and housings are indispensible when underwater connections are concerned. When cables and connectors are used in subsea environments, the connections between cables and the electric or electronic instrumentation require specially fabricated cable assemblies.
Seabed has a long history of providing cable assemblies for subsea applications.

Cables

Seabed offers a range of rugged cables that are perfectly suited for use under water, near water and on land. Seabed’s large variety of cables can be divided into two specialized groups:

1. COAX cables
The COAX cables can be produced from standard signal transfer to high-quality signal transfer and can be used for onshore activities. Seabed’s COAX cables are custom-made to fit your specific needs.

2. PUR cables
Seabed supplies both shielded and non-shielded PUR cables for signal- and power applications. The high-quality shielded PUR cables block a large amount of interfering underwater frequencies and are often used for small distances.
The non-shielded PUR cables are frequently used when outside frequencies do not necessarily interfere and when the cable has to cover a large distance.

Connectors

Seabed offers a large range of connectors, from standard underwater connectors to those designed for the most challenging environments. They are all suitable for full ocean depths.

Housings

Seabed offers a broad variety of housings, from shallow water to deep ocean applications. These housings are mainly used for underwater sensors, data loggers and junction boxes. Seabed also provides various housing materials, such as Delrin Aluminum (anodized), Stainless steel and Titanium.
